PAUL LUKANGA - Managing Director/CEO
Paul, an engineer turned entrepreneur; is the founder of SkyTrace Aviation and leads the team of experts in the company providing strategic leadership and technical expertise. Holding an MBA in Aerospace Management from the prestigious Toulouse Business School in France, Paul is also a Graduate Mechanical Engineer (Bsc. Hons) and a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with over 8 years experience in aviation, technical services management and regulatory oversight, making him one of the most versatile managers in the industry.
As the engineering manager in both Air Uganda and RwandAir, he headed and assisted to set up fully functional engineering and maintenance departments at those airlines and was directly involved in key projects including IOSA certifications, AMO set ups and approvals, CAMO set up, management and control including implementation of Computerized Aviation maintenance software systems.
MIGADDE DANIEL - Director, Technical Services
Working closely with Mr. Migadde Daniel as a partner in founding SkyTrace Aviation, He has been an indispensable part of the company’s formation and establishment and is in charge of all technical projects for the company. A Graduate Mechanical Engineer (BSc Hons) from Makerere University Kampala-Uganda, Daniel previously worked for Air Uganda as a Senior Planning & Development Engineer responsible for the proper planning and control of maintenance and engineering systems and activities in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure continued airworthiness.
Daniel was also a member of the IOSA preparatory team and participated in the first ever successful IOSA audit in Uganda conducted at Air Uganda and was involved in all certification and regulatory compliance projects of the company. He also worked as the Technical Representative for Air Uganda during its closure process and return of aircraft to the lessor.
Daniel also boosts extensive detailed knowledge in systems and power plants having worked for over 3 years as a Governor System Engineer at the biggest Hydro Electric Power Plant Station in Uganda, which is operated and maintained by Eskom Uganda Limited, where, before joining Air Uganda, he was responsible for improving the availability and life of the Hydro power plants by developing and improving appropriate engineering, technological and maintenance practices for the power plants.
